Worth joining if they don’t have it yet and you have enough renown or influence to claim it. Normally they take Dublin and nothing else. They also don’t have many lords for you to build relation with. It will be hard to get right to rule because they don’t go to war often and mostly just keep to themselves. It is certainly possible to get them to take Dunwic and expand from there. When I do see them do it they are very formidable. They catch is that they rarely go to war. Kingdom of Friese: By far the best port for trading in VC. I normally see them eat up Aileach and they also have a shot at taking Dublin. In my experience they tend to be one of the more militarily successful Irish kingdoms, although Irish lords seem to be pretty lazy when it comes to conquest making gaining good fiefs and right to rule pretty slow. The main disadvantage they(and all the other Irish kingdoms for that matter) have is lack of any good nearby trading. Kingdom of Uladh: One of the strongest Irish kingdoms, in my opinion. Also, getting to Dorestad and Tunsberg is really inconvenient and rives up trading costs quite a bit although you do have the best access to wool. The main thing keeping this from being my favorite kingdom is that you are going to be stuck with crappy Briton troops for a while. I find that while Gwynedd tends to do pretty well for itself it normally has more internal strife than the other strong kingdoms and falls apart when the lords stop helping the marshal. Kingdom of Gwynedd: Probably the 3rd best kingdom to join after Northymbre and West Seaxe. Otherwise it has all the same benefits as Northymbre. They also don’t start the game with a port town.

The one drawback/difference is that while the do border many weak kingdoms that they usually dominate they are also next to Gwynedd which is usually very powerful and aggressive. Kingdom of West Seaxe: This kingdom is like the Christian version of Northymbre. You are also in close proximity to Dorestad and Tunsberg which are important trading destinations. It also has a large number of lords to build up relation with so you will have lots of easy followers when you start your own kingdom. This results in a lot of right to rule because they end up making peace so often. This is a positive thing as kingdoms that are overseas rarely invade en masse and the nearby kingdoms are weak and normally get crushed by them. As a result of this other kingdoms are always declaring war on them. They are usually very effective at taking new territory. It’s always a very powerful kingdom where the lords work together well. Kingdom of Northymbre: This is one of the best kingdoms to join. There’s a lot of random chance involved in which kingdoms to well. Keep in mind a lot of this is pretty subjective and based on anecdotal evidence. Here’s my breakdown of the various kingdoms: Unlike Native not all kingdoms in VC are equal. You will gain right to rule passively whenever your kingdom makes peace with another and you can boost your relationship with lords through feasts and quests. You only need to get a little renown and talk to a ruler to become a vassal. This will make your transition to being a ruler much smoother as you will have loyal servants and won’t have to worry about the other kingdoms knocking your door down. The goal of being a vassal is to build up right to rule and relationship with lords. Once you have a stable economic foundation it is time to become a vassal. I'm assuming that anyone playing VC already has a basic knowledge of Native. Take out their few castles, Man them with 100-150 at least normal performing units and hand over fiefs to nights Watch. This is a Guide to the Mount & Blade Viking Conquest (VC) mod. If you can, Go and declare war of Free Folk, Defeat their army in field ( like if they are accompanying marshal, That way it's easy, No more searching or shitload of battles ). Go to your minister and see if you can still send an emissary to Nights Watch, Then check if you can hand over a fief via that emissary. I wonder is there a chanse to rise them again by taking King's Landing and sending a bunch of lords to the wall.? In most of my plays they wipe out FreefolkĪs for your problem. There is no point to release them when I can buff up NW for view days. Everytime when I get some crap units, or some units that doesn't fit in my party(like enemy kingdom units) I allways go and give them to NW, just like my prisoners.
